Swimsuits are very hit and miss…especially for me. I have a short square frame, which means no matter what style I try, I always look like a cereal box on toothpicks. So this season when the idea of styling your swimsuits for everyday wear popped up I was hesitant. BUT even with this hesitation I decided to style my favorite one piece of the season into a fun Summer look. To my surprise I LOVED this Swimsuit Outfit!
I LOVE flannel shirts…and when you live somewhere cold that’s great! BUT I live in the desert (Tucson, AZ) where the weather is not always appropriate for a flannel. However over the years I’ve made them work! In fact my favorite casual spring outfit: Oversized Flannel Shirt + Shorts + A Light Jacket….and that’s what I’m rocking with today.
You can never have too many crisp white button down shirts…they work on so many levels. I certainly have obtained quite the collection over the years (and wear each one ALOT). BUT the most standout white shirt I have is this long-line version from H&M. And today I wanted to style it as a shirt dress — but realized it’s WAYYY too sheer. So I needed to layer something overtop. Since I am loving the idea of pairing a skirt with a long-line shirt for this season…
Another beautiful sunny day in Bochum (and by another I mean the only one for a week)! I decided to take advantage of this warm day and rock my favorite spring basic – A CROP TOP! Crop tops have come a long way since they first emerged back on the scene with millions of styles. BUT there’s one style every girl needs…the cami crop top.
I was playing in my closet today – you know, styling outfits. When I came across these wide leg cropped pants that I LOVE! Wide leg culottes are honestly the best thing since sliced bread. Because of my infatuation I decided these were my pants for the day. BUT I wanted to style them in a way I hadn’t before….so I paired them with a dress and “matching” crepe blazer to create my version of an Updated Pant Suit.
I swear every time we go out of town we miss the nice weather in Bochum and return to rainy days…I mean does it ever stop raining here? Seriously asking. At least I could still wear my red leopard shirt paired over a turtleneck! This shirt is from Texas; so this outfit is totally sending out warm weather vibes–let the sun shine.
