The past few Mondays I have been focused on creating style inspiration for the working girl. Trying to find ways to spice up the typical work attire. BUT today I wanted to focus on a look that utilizes work pieces for an off-duty look, because no one can afford two separate wardrobes (one for work and one for play). So here’s a great way to style your work-wear into a fun off-duty outfit!
Yesterday’s post was all about this summer’s IT shoe – the espadrille. Writing it inspired me to style my own pair of espadrilles today (not that I had much choice, all my sandals are espadrilles). I chose to wear my favorites, these Ice & A Lemon Espadrilles (so cute). And since the shoes are full of color I decided to go for a monochromatic outfit. My summer favorite…the basic All White Outfit!
This vintage blazer (thrifted) is AMAZING and deserves to be worn everyday. BUT since it’s been warm out it’s been hard to layer any clothing, let alone a wool blazer. Today however, it rained, which meant temps dropped and I was able to add this AWESOME vintage blazer to my summer uniform (of t-shirt and denim shorts). This outfit combo is PERFECT for those rainy days in summer!
Swimsuits are very hit and miss…especially for me. I have a short square frame, which means no matter what style I try, I always look like a cereal box on toothpicks. So this season when the idea of styling your swimsuits for everyday wear popped up I was hesitant. BUT even with this hesitation I decided to style my favorite one piece of the season into a fun Summer look. To my surprise I LOVED this Swimsuit Outfit!
