The past few Mondays I have been focused on creating style inspiration for the working girl. Trying to find ways to spice up the typical work attire. BUT today I wanted to focus on a look that utilizes work pieces for an off-duty look, because no one can afford two separate wardrobes (one for work and one for play). ┬áSo here’s a great way to style your work-wear into a fun off-duty outfit!

I like to start with the pants…pick your favorite pant and build up from there. Pair the pant with a t-shirt, plain or graphic. This together already creates a casual look – that’s quite comfortable too. For a layering piece, skip the blazer or jacket, and instead opt for an opened button down shirt. Top the look off with a great pair of sandals or sneakers – nothing work appropriate.

And voila you’ve created an off-duty outfit out of staple work-wear pieces! All you needed was a t-shirt and sandals combined with a little creative styling.

Now you can play in style all summer long without spending a dime. What will you do with all that extra cash?
