I know, I am just as surprised by it as you.  I have been in love with the new trend of relaxed denim. I think this is in part because I’ve recently put on a little weight, and my skinnies are a little more snug than I’m used to.  But today I decided to try them again…verdict: still in LOVE. While these jeans may feel a little too tight (its probably all in my head), they create a great balance with the oversized silhouette of my sweater and shirt.

I love wearing a cuff bracelet on top of a long sleeve when it’s chilly out! Tip:Roll your sleeve over it to make it part of the sweater.

Tip: Leave your button down shirt unbuttoned to create this “coat tail” effect when layering.

While relaxed denim currently rules over my denim closet, skinnies are not out! The turnout of this look revived our relationship…now I just need more (I only brought one blue skinny jean to Germany!) Not only did this look reignite my once infatuous passion for skinny jeans, it reminded me to LOVE my body (not buy into the shame and hide it by exclusively styling in baggy/oversized clothing). I CAN and should wear everything!

P.S. Sorry for the pilled sweater. I just love it too much to ditch it just yet.  It’s soooo soft and eggplant purple (only the best color)!
